Covid-19: How I made a deal with my tenant who couldn’t pay

Basically, my tenant couldn’t pay rent anymore. So we made a deal.

I could let him move-out and his deposit would go toward unpaid rent and utilities. And I wouldn’t charge for “lost rent”. My losses would be the time spent looking for a replacement.

He left because his income was cut in half. He lost his job, but found another one at Amazon warehouse, but he wouldn’t make as much, so he had to move.

With these hard times come deals you’ll have to make. People are in need and I’m got a tenant who was so good at communicating.

Been looking for tenants these past few days. Glad there is still demand given the virus. I was afraid it’d be way harder to find tenants.

I also cut my hair for the first time lol. Turned out way better than I expected. I used regular scissors and my bodygroomer. There are bad parts, but I was surprised I could even do it. I bought more supplies — haircut scissors, thinner, clips, and a comb. We’ll seeeeee.
