Drinking hot water is the same as eating food?

--

Okay, some pseudo-science for you today.

Bear with me.

So energy can be kinetic energy or potential energy. We basically use food energy to convert that into movement and body heat. Food is potential energy.

But hot water, or anything hot, is post-conversion energy — kinetic energy. It’s already hot, so instead of using food energy to heat up your body, you can use hot water to do the same when you drink it, or when you bathe in it.

What do you think? Science checks out, right?
