With large social gatherings banned and schools closed early, it seems that the news had quieted down from the weekly reports of mass shootings.

While there are still shootings, the deaths and injuries seem lower.

An active shooter was recently run over by a car in this CNN report, an ironic reflection of how social distancing has hampered shootings.

If we are able to continue social distancing and mass gatherings, which will certain be more of the case in the future as a part of the permanent impact of Covid-19, I predict that mass shootings will either have to evolve or decrease in casualties.
