Indonesian guy wants to be boyfriends

Indonesia guy prompted a DTR. I said I need to feel a deeper connection at a mental or emotional level. He wanted to be official BFs.

I asked why he wants a BF and why he’s in such a rush. He said this is the most difficult part of his life, and he wants someone he can rely on and who can help him feel secure. I said, so you want someone to help you. And he said no, but the way he clarified basically was that.

I don’t think he’s really someone I can show off. He’s too young, isn’t very PC, and isn’t someone I’m that proud of tbh. And that’s not really fair for him. But at the same time, I want to give it a fair shot. Also, I do feel like I’d be used because he just needs someone at this difficult stage. Like how Dan used Aryan for his home-ec skills and then cheated on him. And maybe used Aryan for citizenship. I just felt Aryan was getting used, and Dan didn’t really like him. But at the same time, Dan mentored him.

I just don’t feel ready to commit. I don’t like him enough because I don’t feel that connection. SORRY.
